In Highschool this year I am taking English 1. My teacher is Ms.Hunter. In the begining of this year I was expecting to do a lot of reading. To be reading a lot of books and plays. I also thought that in English 1 we were going to be writing a lot. In the first few weeks of school we have been learning how to write better. We learned how to write a one paragraph response. We have been taking a lot of notes about writing. We are also have been learning lititture terms.
The grading policy in Ms.Hunters class is 40% Formal Assessments which includes test and quiz grades. 40% Performance Basaes Assessments includes essays, projects and presentations.10% Homework and 10% Informal Assessment which is a portion of your class work and class paticipation.
Something about this class that I find going to be interseting is reading new books and plays that I haven't read or heard anything about. I am expected to learn how to read, spell and write better. Also to just learn a lot new things. Someways we can use technology in English class is if we need to use the Chrome Book to type an essay. We can also use it if we need to make a presnation or if we have to look up anything online.

To find Ms. Hunter's web page you can go to http://www.wood-ridgeschools.org/Domain/185.  Some helpful websites on Ms.Hunters page is http://turnitin.com/ which can help you with essays and https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/01/ that can help you with MLA format.
